Het gif zoekt zich een weg omhoog in voedselketen:
Daar wordt het pluimvee weer bij tonnen weggevoerd,
Naar slacht en vilbeluik. Er wordt geouwehoerd.
Op straat, in ‘t parlement weerklinken woeste kreten.
 
Minister Aelvoet klinkt een klein beetje versleten:
“Het varkensspek is veilig tot en met het zwoerd.
De volksgezondheid is niet achteruit geboerd.
We kunnen ons met nieuwe kippencrisis meten!”
 
En kippig kijkt zij naar dat rare potje vet,
Wellicht besmet met een hoeveelheid dioxine,
Het potje vet dat daar op tafel is gezet,
 
Afkomstig van een transformator of turbine.
Het potje vet komt steeds terug in nieuw couplet,
Al eet ons Magda niets behalve margarine.
